Description:
This session will explore emotional intelligence skills and how they can be used to function as a professional no matter what the circumstance. We will investigate what triggers emotions within us, particularly in those difficult moments, in order to control how we react to outside sources. Our grace under pressure comes from how we handle ourselves and our emotions for our own benefit.
Presenter:
Marva Mount, M.A., CCC-SLP has been a speech-language pathologist for many years, working in a variety of settings. She has presented nationally and internationally on a variety of topics in speech pathology. Marva was the TSHA Hall of Fame Award recipient in 2018, inducted in the National Academies of Practice in 2022, and is a published author.
