Description:

This course provides an overview of how related service providers can support schoolwide systems using RtI and MTSS. Participants will learn tangible strategies to get started, sustain implementation, and demonstrate impact, while clarifying their role and capacity within a tiered support framework.

Presenter:

Dr. Kimberly Duetsch, OTD, OTR/L is an assistant professor at Messiah University’s Master of Occupational Therapy program and an Outstanding Graduate Teaching Award recipient. She has experience treating and leading multidisciplinary teams in K-12 school settings. She has presented at the state and national level on topics related to teacher-therapist collaboration, burnout prevention, healthcare student well-being, and community-based service-learning. Kimberly continues to practice in school-based and outpatient pediatrics settings, and she is passionate about school-wide systems of support for both teachers and students.

  3. Identify at least one strategy for initiating, sustaining and reporting progress with MTSS in their current role.
