Accurate, timely documentation and report-writing are among the most important responsibilities of every school-based service provider. The IEP and evaluation report serve to communicate important information about a student’s educational needs and progress to all members of the educational team. This webinar will share tips on how to write clear, succinct, comprehensive, and legally defensible documents.

Presenters:
Cynthia Haynes, OTD, OTR/L, is a Clinical Director of Occupational Therapy Services for Stepping Stones Group. Her area of expertise is pediatrics, having worked in a variety of practice setting as both a clinician and department director. Previously she was an adjunct professor in the OTD program at Thomas Jefferson University and the Academic Fieldwork Coordinator at Philadelphia University. She has authored peer reviewed journal articles and book chapters and presents regularly at the local and national level. She is filling her third term as an ACOTE reviewer and is also a presenter for the Bureau for Education and Research. She is a regional trainer for the AOTA sponsored Fieldwork Educator Certificate Program and contributed to the development of one training module.
Shellie Bader, M.A., CCC-SLP, serves as a consultant and strategic advisor for The Stepping Stones Group. Previously, as a Regional Director for EBS Healthcare, she managed facility partnerships and oversaw multidisciplinary clinical and educational services throughout California. With expertise in assessment and evaluation, supervision/mentoring, special education legislation and multidisciplinary collaboration, she provides professional development courses for school districts, graduate programs and for her state association. Earlier in her career, Ms. Bader served as an administrator for the Speech and Language Program in LAUSD, and directed pediatric clinic and Early Intervention programs, improving service and client success through innovative and outcomes-based interventions. An active volunteer for CSHA, Ms. Bader served on the Board of Directors and as the Chair of the Professional Practices Committee. She was honored with the CSHA Outstanding Achievement Award and the CSUN Alumni of the Year.
