Description

This course will provides strategies for SLPs and other professionals to collaborate to support literacy and language skills in connection with the curriculum. We discuss specific activities to support vocabulary, morphology, syntax, and pragmatics and suggestions for data collection. A particular focus is on supporting older elementary and adolescent students. 

Objectives

  • Outline key aspects of ELA Standards that illustrate the connection between literacy and language therapy.
  • Explain 3-4 activities that can be included in therapy to support vocabulary, morphology, and syntax.
  • Implement collaborative data collection techniques to monitor progress.
